Karen Quinn has been married to her one and only husband, Mark, for over 40 years. She is the proud mother of two children, Schuyler and Sam, and she is also a grandmother.  Karen is the founder of TestingMom.com and HabitCoach.com.

At Testing Mom, she helps families prepare their young children for private school admissions and gifted & talented tests.  At Habit Coach, she supports students in mastering executive function (i.e. focus, attention, organization, planning, time management, getting started) and study skills.  Karen is the author of the bestselling book, The Ivy Chronicles, which is about the extremes parents will go to get their kids into exclusive private school kindergartens in New York City.  She also wrote the non-fiction Testing For Kindergarten, and three other novels.

Before writing books, Karen worked in advertising at American Express, and before that, she was a lawyer.  Karen is very excited to get to work with her daughter, Schuyler, on this podcast.

Schuyler Quinn is a writer/director/producer. Her first television appearance was on “As the World Turns” (1991) at 2-months-old after being discovered in a nail salon with her mother.  After foregoing college to study classical theater, she has appeared in several features such as "Candid “ (2014), “Litany" (2015), and “Here One Minute,” which she produced with her writing and directing partner, Eleanor Gaver.

She later wrote, acted in, and produced the off-Broadway show, “Unsatisfactory,” documenting her experiences as a neurodivergent student in the crazy world of NYC private and public schools.  She has worked at HabitCoach.com, writing and directing videos for the Coach Your Own Child program.  Schuyler lives in New York City with her family, two dogs, and a cat.
